We have decided that we have labored enough this summer and are, therefore, closing for Labor Day.  So here’s how the schedule plays out:
Saturday, September 4th  0930 - 500 OPEN!
Sunday, September 5th - CLOSED
Monday, September 6th - CLOSED
Tuesday, September 7th - 0930 - 6oo OPEN!

T. Hee Greetings & Gifts will open our 2nd store on October 1 in the Hillside Village Shopping Center at Mockingbird/Abrams intersection (near Stein Mart.) The new store will have about 30% more square feet and will feature most of the same product mix as is in our Lake Highlands Store…but you know there will be a few fun surprises!

Do you remember the fierce airline wars of the 1980’s?  Delta was making a move on DFW and AA was fighting to protect their home turf.  AA launched a huge campaign called, “Based Here.  Best Here” to remind everyone in Dallas that when they spent their money with American Airlines - it didn’t get sent to Chicago or Atlanta, it stayed right here in the Metroplex.  Well, we’re taking a page out of the AA play book and launching our own, “Based Here Best Here” campaign.  We are very proud …

Our lights are on, the store is warm and the Valentine’s Day goodies are ready for sale!  Hurry on in for balloons, chocolates, cards, candies…everything you need this Valentine’s Day to make sure your sweetie knows they are your one and only Valentine!  Open today 9:30 -5:00.  (psst.. little secret..we’re going to open tomorrow, Sunday, 2/14 from 12 - 5..but don’t tell anyone! Well - okay - tell EVERYONE!)

Would we leave you out in the snow on Valentine’s Day weekend?  Snow way!  We’ll be there with bells on, opening the doors at 10am for all of your Valentine’s Day needs.  Remember we have Texas made chocolates from Sweet Shop (can you say Fudge Love?) jewelry from Rhona Clifford, cards, gifts…we’ll keep you and Rover from becoming roomates…starting at 10am!

There has bee A LOT of buzz lately concerning our shopping center.  As most of you know from reading www.lakehighlandstoday.com the owner of our shopping center has defaulted on his loans and skipped the country.  Nice.  So the center is set for foreclosure later this month.  In some ways, that is the good news.  Our shopping center is a GREAT deal.  Expected to sell in the $2.5 - $3.0 million range the land could easily be split up and sold to recapture over half of the investment leaving very affordable …

We are open today, Sunday,December 27th - our last Sunday to be open until next holiday season!  And why would we choose to open today?  It’s our HUGE storewide clearance sale of course!  Everything (yes, that did say EVERYTHING) in the store is 20% off!  Christmas and select merchandise is 50% off!  As many of you know we only do this type of sale twice a year - right before we go off to market to buy new stuff for the store - we need to make room!  So hurry …

Man, the gift wrap world sure has changed.  I remember growing up in Ft. Worth I couldn’t wait for the holidays so I could go to Container Store and see their amazing gift wrap section.   Since opening our store we’ve been amazed by how few people want roll wrap (rolls of gift wrap) but are opting for more creative solutions instead.   We have some great gift bags in that are printed or decorated but there are many other ways to up your gift wrapping game this year.
